Modular Bulidings & Tennessee Charter Schools - growing school's stories of modular solutions

It's no secret that the speed and efficiency of modular can be a great fit for growing charter schools.  Here's a look at four Tennessee charter schools that used modular to create more classroom and administrative space on a short timeline.

Location: Memphis, TN
Size: 5,880 sq ft
Timeline: June 2016 – October 2016

 Memphis Rise Academy was looking for more classroom space for their growing charter school.  As soon as school let out for the summer, the project began.  Innovative Modular Solutions was able to install a new 6-classroom modular educational building with restrooms while the students were on summer break.  As the school continued to grow, the school added another modular classroom building for their 7th and 8th graders.

Location: Nashville, TN
Size: 1,680 sq ft
Timeline: April 2016 – June 2016

Purpose Preparatory Academy, a charter school in Nashville, TN, needed space for their growing student population.  The school signed a lease agreement with IMS in April 2016, and by June 2016 a 2-classroom modular building was installed in their parking lot and ready for students and teachers to being the next school year.  The following year, the school once again used modular to provide the classroom space needed by having IMS install a second new 2-classroom temporary building adjacent to the first building.

Location: Memphis, TN
Size: 3,360 sq ft
Timeline: June 2016 – October 2016

Freedom Preparatory Academy in Memphis, Tennessee needed more space at their elementary school for a Teacher Resource and Student Activity Center.  From the signing a lease agreement with IMS to occupancy, the project took less than five months to move into their new modular building.

Timeline: April 2016-July 2016

Aurora Collegiate Academy was not new to modular buildings as they had installed them in the past for their growing charter school.  In 2016, IMS worked with the school to provide their third modular classroom building, this time for their 4th and 5th graders.  The charter school signed their lease agreement in April 2016, and by July 2016 a 84’x62’ 6-classroom new modular building with restrooms was ready for their students to return to school in the Fall.
